IG‐541 inert gas fire extinguishing systems

IG‐541 fire extinguishing systems are filled with clean, non‐conductive and natural fire suppression agent IG‐541 that won't damage valuable assets. Many archives, museums and libraries use this agent to protect irreplaceable items such as artwork, historic documents, antiquities and sensitive electronic equipment.

IG‐541 is a blend of inert atmospheric gases that contains 52% nitrogen, 40% argon, 8% carbon dioxide. It is non‐toxic, does not contain halocarbons, and has no ozone depletion potential. IG‐541 systems protect enclosed areas where people may be present during evacuation.

When discharged, IG‐541 agent will not produce a fog, so escape routes remain visible. It can suppress the fire but doesn’t deplete the amount of oxygen to dangerous level. This is vital in cases where immediate evacuation may not be possible. Once discharged, it returns to the atmosphere in its natural state.
